"You sit in the car park after the appointment. You have the diagnosis. But nobody told you what to do next."
— What most parents tell me after their first consultation elsewhereMost families focus on medication alone. Almost no one works all four legs of the table — and that's why progress stalls.
— Dr John Flett, from The Complete Treatment Picture
ADHD treatment is not one thing.
It's four things working together.
Think of your child's support as a four-legged table. When one leg is short, the whole table wobbles — no matter how strong the others are.
Not sure which leg needs the most work? The free Four-Leg Audit takes five minutes and shows you exactly where to start.

Every course is built on the same principle: when you understand why your child behaves the way they do, everything changes.

I see families every week where the diagnosis has been made, the medication has started — and yet nothing feels different. The child is still struggling. The parents are still exhausted. The reason, almost always, is the same: nobody explained the full picture.
These courses exist to fill that gap. They are built on 25 years of clinical work. Not theory. Not algorithms. What I actually say to families in my consulting room, structured into something you can come back to, share with your partner, and use tomorrow morning.
They came in confused.
They left with a plan.
Representative experiences drawn from families seen in Dr Flett's consulting room over 25 years of practice.
"I didn't believe in ADHD at first. I thought my son needed more discipline. Then one night I was helping with homework and I looked at his face — he was trying so hard. Dr Flett had explained working memory to me. In that moment I stopped seeing defiance and started seeing a brain that was fighting against itself. Two minutes with a written reminder did what an hour of shouting never could.
"I had charts on every wall and apps on every device. Nothing was working and I felt like I was failing at all of it. Dr Flett asked me one question: what's the one thing that, if it improved, would make the biggest difference? I said mornings. We focused only on mornings for four weeks. That one success gave me the confidence to tackle everything else.
"We were ready to give up on the medication because his grades weren't improving. Dr Flett didn't change the medication — he showed us there was something else going on alongside the ADHD that we'd missed completely. Once we treated the whole picture, everything shifted. I wish someone had explained the four legs to us two years earlier.
